Welcome to Deep Water

Deep Water are a Kent (UK) based trio playing an acoustic blend of folk, country, pop and blues.

We consist of Jean up front on vocals and sometimes shaky things, Nick on guitar, slide guitar, accordion and occasional keyboards, and Ray on banjo, mandolin and guitar. We all have a wide experience of playing at pubs, clubs, festivals and private functions, and are equally happy performing acoustically as with a full PA. High profile events the band and members have appeared at include The Herne Bay Festival, Kent Country Music Festival, Broadstairs Folk Festival and (Ray's favourite) the Ashford Rugby Club Beer Festival, a highlight of the Kent summer social scene.

If you're thinking of booking us, a carefully hand-crafted demo CD with six of our regular numbers is available. Nick and Ray are Musician's Union members showing their commitment to a professional approach to performing, and all our equipment is tested for electrical safety.

We may appear at folk clubs and open mic sessions as the original Deep Water, with Nick and Jean as Shallow Water, or with Jean and Ray as Rough Water, and who knows what else - keep coming back for new dates.
